Poggio del Sole Resort**** - Ragusa
On the road from Ragusa leading to the sea, Poggio del Sole Resort (Sun’s Hill Resort) dominates the charming Hyblean plateau amid a mix of rugged valleys and hills, carob and olive trees, and a thick lattice of dry stone walls.
At the midpoint of the major centres in the Noto valley, the structure was built before the Baroque period, long enough ago at a time when people live their lives amidst the true nature of a historic land.
The Poggio del Sole Resort, originated in 1879 as an old–fashioned rural residence, was carefully restructured and expanded in 2006 by the present owners.
The old fashioned building hosts three suites, the refined Dell’Angelo (Of the Angel) restaurant, the Degli Archi (Of the Arches) conference room and a Lounge Bar.
Newly constructed is the more informal Osteria (carvery-room) with its stone oven and rooms.
The rooms, decorated with affection and endowed with every comfort, allow you a relaxing stay immersed in the quiet Hyblean nature. Three elegant and endearing suites welcome you making your stay a unique experience: the suite Levante, the suite Ponente and the suite Grecale.
