COOKING CLASSES IN ERICE

Three days in an enchanting medieval town with a great Chef.

Thursday
Arrival to Palermo. Transfer and accommodation in the reserved rooms in the typical Elimo hotel in Erice. The town is a wonderful medieval suburb known to people as the place where Venus was born and today it is know about all for its delicious pastries. In the afternoon, we’re visiting the Norman Castle and the Dome. Finally we’re visiting Maria Grammatico’s pastry-shop, famous all over the world for its products. We’re visiting the laboratory and we’re tasting nut pastries, the “genovesi” and the Marsala wine. Coming back to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Friday
Breakfast in the hotel. Our chef Carmelo Tilotta to take us to the market in Trapani where we’re selecting products as ricotta, dried fruits and seasonable vegetables in order to prepare our complete lunch. As soon as we come back to the kitchen, Carmelo lets us learning to prepare a delicious menu with the products we have bought. In the afternoon we are going to visit Segesta, an ancient archaeological city near to Erice. Here we’re admiring the ruins of the city, the Doric temple and the theatre built on the rock in of the XII-XI B.C. Coming back to the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.

Saturday
Breakfast. In the morning we will visit visiting the Fazio winery and we will taste two wines with Roberta Fazio. Lunch on your own. In the afternoon, together with our Chef we prepare a delicious lunch with fish and finally the famous “Cassata Siciliana”, with ricotta and candied fruits, that we’re tasting together with a sweet wine. Dinner and overnight stay.

Sunday
Breakfast and relax. Departure to the airport.


Schedule from January 11 to July 31, and from September 6 to October 28.

The price includes
- An English speaker tour director for all the excursions;
- 2 cooking lessons by the Chef Carmelo Tilotta;
- 2 HB and 1 FB at the hotel Elimo *** in Erice;
- Tasting and visit to the Fazio winery and the Grammatico pastry-shop ;
- Tourist guide in English in Erice and Segesta

The price does not include
- Transport;
- Individual extra;
- Beverages during meals;
- Everything is not included at the voice “the price includes”.
