Coop. Bio L’Arcobaleno
The Arcobaleno started in 1993 by a responsible and intelligent
decision of many farmers that attend to the safeguard of the
health of it consumers and aware of their own role in the
defence of the environment, choose to cultivate their fields
with antique techniques used by their fathers. It's this care
and love for the land together with the generous nature of
Sicily with its excellent climatic conditions that confer
to the products of the cooperative biological agriculture
“L'Arcobaleno” this special taste and organoleptic
properties.
The firm rises in contrada Molinazzo
in Caltabellotta in the province of Agrigento, a few kilometers
from Sciacca, a beautiful town with an exposure on the clear
African sea, known for its extraordinary natural beauties
and for the thermal wathers.
The establishment is situated in the Sicane valleys, in the
territory of Villafranca and Caltabellotta at an altitude
that varies from 200 to 600 meters upon the sea level, it
occupies a surface of 210 hectares of which 100 are cultivated
with citrus plantation and 110 hectares with olive groves.
The hilly position, the ventilated territory,
the total absence of humidity, the beneficial influence of
the Mediterranean sea make this territory particularly suited
for the biological cultivation of citrus plantation, and olive
groves.
That’s the reasen why the plants are so flourishing and the
fruits are excellent.
