Agrigento and The Valley of the Temples

The Valley of the Temples represents the most sublime witness of the Greek civilization in Sicily. Between the two fields covered with blossoming almond trees, our gaze rests on the marvellous remains of the temples, which have kept over time their intact grandeur.

The Valley of the Temples includes several temples built in the 5th century B.C.; along the Sacred Way, we can find: the Temple of Hercules, the Temple of Concord and the Temple of Juno; on the opposite side, there are the Temple of Castor and Pollux, the Temple of Olympic Jupiter and the wonderful garden of the Kolymbetra. We will visit the Necropolis and the Archaeological Museum, too.
