Burgio

Situated on a sweet downward slope, immersed in the green of the Sican Mountains, amongst citrus trees plantations and olive groves, Burgio, from different points of view, will present us beautiful landscapes beyond compare: from the mountains up to the sea.

Known as the “Town of Artistic Handicraft”, it has kept over the centuries its artisan production concerning ceramics, glass, iron and stone working; moreover, it owns the only ancient Bell Foundry still existing in Sicily. Apart from artisan workshops, we will visit the Norman Castle, The Mummy Museum of the Capuchin Friars, the Mother Church and its charming old centre.
