Eraclea Minoa

Greek colony founded by Minos’ fellows. The legend tells that Minos pursuited Daedalus up to here because he wanted to punish him for helping Ariadne and Theseus inside the mythical labyrinth. The hill of Eraclea Minoa is a charming natural terrace: from there, the eye gets lost amongst the shore, the pinewood, the mouth of the river Platani and the African sea.
