Sant'Angelo Muxaro

On a lonely hill, in the middle of the Valley of Platani and surrounded by rough and wild vegetation, a sheer heap of little houses overlooking the valley: this is Sant’Angelo Muxaro.

Ancient place inhabited by the Sicans, where king Kokalos decided to make the mythical capital Kamikos built.

We will visit the archaeological area with several Tholos tombs, the Tomb of the Prince (Sicily’s the largest one), the Necropolis of Grotticelle and we will admire a charming landscape.
