ANTICA TENUTA DEL NANFRO

Antica Tenuta del Nanfro has an ancient history, full of secrets and joy in which wine is a joyous companion of life…dad Nino, from Catania, knows it very well and handed the ancient art of the wine-making to his sons. The farm is located in the property of Nanfro, about at 4 km away from Caltagirone, a Sicilian small town, land of craftmen and artists that made the name of their town celebrated all over the world for the wonderful ceramicsthe, area included also in the perimeter of “Cerasuolo di Vittoria” , wine very ancient and precious.
The farm has a cellar supplied with all the wine-making technology and the oaks barells for ageing. The family Lo Certo thanks to the costant updating of technology both in the cellar and in vineyard, always in observance of nature, obtained from 1998 the certification for the production of grape following the method of biological agriculture. The farm extends for 49 hectares of which 32 hectares of vineyard and the grapes are Frappato, Nero d’Avola, Inzolia and Chardonnay. Mild climate and sandstone soils create perfect conditions for precious wines of great personality, appreciable wines that match the whole day with a touch of sensuality…
